For the past year or so, SoundCloud has been the go-to site for all my music needs. I am a nomad when it comes to scloud. From some truly brilliant dark techno productions to absolutely melodic ambient sets, this website is a sea of incredible content. Among this treasure I found DJ Spacekid aka Max Acosta who hails from LA and invited him to do an exclusive session for Trippy Soundscapes. His sets are probably in the top heard as well as downloaded categories on SoundCloud and he does a damn good job of creating them. His track selection fits the bill and those tight transitions make the entire set a treat to listen to. June 2010's Communicate Session set called "Zoo People" is now up for grabs! It is a tight ~60 min smooth flowing set featuring some heavy progressive, club and electro tunes that should definitely quench your thirst for house music. Hope you enjoy the set & happy listening!!

Ladies & Gents, the World Cup begins in just a few hours & the excitement is almost uncontrollable. What better way to kick start the greatest sporting event in the world than with a cracking progressive set by Adam Levine aka "Binmaker". He is just 18 yrs old & is the youngest DJ/producer gracing the Guest Sessions on Trippy Soundscapes till date. Fairly new to the electronic music circuit, he recently created a storm by winning the Producer Competition at Boston's Together Electronic Music Festival for his techno track "Pep Pep" (below) in Feb 2010 (will feature on the festival's official promotional compilation CD). Adam has been busy producing & his track 'Shuffle' was recently signed to Slanted Black Records (Craig Mitchell's label) & has more on the way. This dude is not to be missed!! Greetings people !!! Summer is now officially in session. With good weather comes good music and with that I introduce this month's set called "Izz All Good". Heavy basslines accompanied by some insane synths give this tech house set that feeling of coolness. Right from the starting track 'Kalte Hund' to Huntemann & Dubfire's Diablo and finally "Anti" from Gregor Thrasher's insane 2007 album 'A Thousand Nights", this set demands your full undivided attention. Starting this month, I am adding a new section to the website called "Featured Mixes" which will showcase sets from artist both local/international & those that excite my musical senses. A good mix is a good mix & no one should be devoid of its listening pleasure :)
Kicking this off, is a 1 hour live recording live by DJ Tamer Malki (Boston) of his recent performance at Chango in Madrid, Spain which was presented by the legendary Supermartxe night "Elixir". This set does an incredible amount of justice to house music by bringing out perfect flavors of tech & progressive & with tracks having heavy funk, jazz & tribal influences it becomes a must listen. Jeffrey Keenan is an extremely talented Boston based house music producer who has been kind enough to create for us a ~60 min minimal/deep house set called "Case of the Mundays" :). He might seem new to the electronic music scene but is steadily growing in ranks amongst the producer community. He just released his "Down To Basics" EP with Midwest Hustle Music on April 26 consisting of consists of 4 brilliant downtempo tracks (currently sold on beatport.com). Come May, he releases another 3 track EP titled “Up the Duff” on First Stage Recordings London which has flavors of techno, fusion and dubstep. Almost a year has gone by since Ultra Music Fest 2009 but I can still feel those huge house beats thumping against my body & the sweat trickling down my spine while dancing inside an absolutely packed "Carl Cox Tent". Thus in the spirit of electronic music, WMC and the Ultra fest, I bring to you a power packed house set for the month of March. The mix is named after a paper clipping that hangs on my office bulletin board & features some great remixes as well as heavy club favorites. This month's Guest Session is by North Shore's renowned sound artist, producer & DJ, Radio Scotvoid (label -earth monkey productions). Originally from Scotland but now living in Salem, he hosts a slot on the "Friday Night Spins" show at The Gulu Gulu Cafe. Its an absolute treat to watch Scott play live - his music ranging from experimental sounds, chiptune electronic, 8bit, wonky, swing jazz sets to dub & noise. He is the main guy behind organizing Salem's Chiptune Electronica & Noise Extravaganza festival and recently performed at New England's first electronic music festival called 'Together'. His new remix album called "Fragment (Consider Revising)" is slated for official release on April 8th but you can download it for free here http://tinyurl.com/ykak6uk.
